This is me and my lovely boyfriend. After being BEST FRIENDS for 6 years; going through everything together. Crying over girlfriends and boyfriends and exes and family problems. Losing people that were so dear to us. Watching and hurting as the other dates somebody else. The story of wanting to be together but never quite getting there, etc etc etc. We haven’t been dating long, only a few months. We plan on getting married. Everyone knew we would date, and they all know we will be getting married. He plans to propose to me this upcoming summer, Yes I know I shouldn’t know. but I do. (excited as ever may I add) People have been putting in unwelcome opinions. Such as: You are too young to get engaged! What are you going to do with being engaged? Are you guys pregnant? Why not get a promise ring!? You guys haven’t even been dating for that long! ETC ETC ETC. I have been in love with this kid for over four years now. My freshman year we had lots of classes together, we already were best friends. But when I saw him in my Global Class, I just knew… One day I would MARRY him. True story, not kidding. Also Promise Rings to me„are kinda just like um me and my boyfriend are too insecure about our relationship but not serious enough so heres my pretty ring. Not saying all promise rings are like that. Maybe it is just because of the bad experiences I’ve had with promise rings, If you have one or have given one and are serious and wanna get married, PROPS TO YOU! I’m genuinely happy for you! SERIOUSLY! I just don’t like them I guess. And I don’t think my boyfriend should give me one instead of proposing to me if he does not want to. But now I would like everyone’s opinion. Pleaseee give me your opinions. I have heard enough unwanted ones, now I would like some from you folks!
